Most permanent makeup lasts 3-5 years but some people report that theirs has lasted as long as 10 years. Touchups are recommended every few years to maintain the best color results.

Is permanent makeup a tattoo?

Not exactly. It's actually considered micropigmentation which is similar to a tattoo. A needle is used to place pigmented granules beneath the top layers of skin. This procedure is similar to those used for medical restoration for scaring, etc.

Is permanent makeup painful?

Generally as long as numbing creams are applied correctly there is very little pain involved with permanent makeup.
